The Bee Gees: How Deep Is Your Love

It’s no secret, I have a very busy life.    Normally, many people ask, how do I do that?

I always answer back, I have no idea. All I know is I need Delilah in the mornings and at night I need my  Hardcore Gangsta Rap AND overplayed Pop songs to keep me sane.

In the mornings, 97.1 WASH FM  is Advil for my ears–it takes the pain of waking up too early away– and it keeps me in a chipper mood.  I always jam out to love songs by  Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, Abba and the BeeGees.  I grew up on the BeeGees and to be able to blast: “How Deep Is Your Love” is sheer ecstasy.  I love  the disco lights,  shrilled crooning  and  lyrics like:

I really need to learn
‘Cause we’re living in a world of fools
Breakin’ us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

Every time I hear this particular song from this station, I often daydream about wearing bell  bottoms at a Disco club and later sharing a Zima with a John Travolta-like character ( preferably Vinny Barberino from ‘Welcome Back Kotter’).

For 2010, I really do want this song  to be my new  “Baby Come Back” because “Baby Come Back” has already served its initial purpose beautifully in my life thus far.  However, it’s in stiff competition with my night addiction.

I need this song to navigate through congested beltways and pissed off drivers with ease. It begs me to ask the bigger question:  The Bee Gees or Wu-Tang?

To whom it may be concern,
I am a grade 5 student in Victoria B.C., Canada. I am writing to ask permission to use some a picture from your website. I am doing a school project on the Bee Gees. I will not be selling your picture on the Bee Gees, just sharing with my class. Please write back soon,

  2. Hey Ally,
I am quite honored that you want to borrow a picture from my website and also give credit to my blog as well. Go for it, and I hope you do really well on your assignment. Also, if you can in a way, direct people to this particular entry or better yet my blog, I would be eternally indebted to you 🙂

  3. No problem on posting this material but this was a personal entry more about music being an important factor in my life versus the overall importance of
“The BeeGees” contributions pertaining to this song. I am really glad you like this blog and I hope to hear from you again 🙂

  4. I would like to read a bit more on this blog soon. By the way, pretty nice design you have at that site, but don’t you think design should be changed every few months?

  5. Hi Jessica,

Thank you for reading my blog but I don’t need to change my blog layout every few months. It’s hard to find a simple lay-out that doesn’t give of a cluttered appearance. I hope to hear from you soon.

    Take Care,

  6. It is certainly interesting for me to read the article. Thanx for it. I like such topics and anything connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more soon. BTW, rather nice design you have at that blog.
