I wish people baked more. I mean, it’s great getting store bought gifts and I don’t always mind nibbling on store bought desserts but there’s just something magical behind something that is home made. For example store bought sugar cookies versus homemade sugar cookies, it’s obvious that home made sugar cookies taste so much better.

I also noticed that whenever I travel out of state, I always see fudge stands proclaiming that they make world famous fudge. Oh really? I’m always highly skeptical about that since the fudge tastes the same to me. Not too long ago, I dabbled in the kitchen and created a brand new fudge recipe. I added chopped walnuts, a jar of Grashoff’s milk chocolate, toffee pieces and sprinkled some coconut on top.

I felt like I created the world’s best fudge, all inside the comforts of my own kitchen. Since the holiday season is coming up, I figure you guys can use this recipe and make someone a home made present instead. It’s just a thought.

Grashoff Fudge Recipe

Grashoff is high-end Belgian chocolate with a smooth, rich texture that is inimitable by most other brands. This recipe can make between 20-25 pieces.


-1.5 cups of granulated sugar

-2/3 cups of evaporated milk

-2 tbsp of butter

-1/2 tsp of salt

-1/2 cup of shredded coconut

-1/2 cup of minced toffee pieces

-1.5 cups (9 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips

-7 oz (1 jar) marshmallow cream

– 1 jar of Grashoff’s Pure Milk Chocolate Bliss

-1 tsp vanilla extract

-1/2 cup of chopped Walnuts


1.)  Line an 8×8 pan with aluminum foil. Spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray or else your fudge will uncomfortably stick into your pan.

2.) Place the sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar and butter dissolve.  You  then need to wash down the sides with a wet pastry brush. If you don’t do that then  sugar crystals will form and that is a major no-no.

3.) Bring the candy to a rapid boil for 5 minutes.

4.) After 5 minutes of boiling, remove the pan from the heat and add the chocolate chips. Remember to keep stirring until they’re completely melted.

5.) Next add the marshmallow cream, Grashoff spread, toffee pieces and vanilla extract, and stir until everything is blended. Add the chopped toasted walnuts and the shredded coconut last.

6.) Scrape the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth it out.Allow the fudge to sit at room temperature for approximately 2 hours.

7.) Once set, remove the fudge from the pan and cut it into small squares.
